The partners of The Engine Room, Inc. of San Francisco commissioned me to make a painting for their office. They asked for a 4' by 8' canvas painting. They had looked over my website for inspiration and wanted me to create a design similar to one I used in the mural of my PRESS show. We discussed things a bit more; I would provide one design using the same elements as my mural and one design using the same concepts but with entirely new elements. After a few other changes were made, I went to work. Here are photos of the piece at different stages, as well as the rejected design.
